We are beyond impressed with Cash, our 1 year old bernedoodle/goldendoodle mix. We have worked with David in both at home sessions and a board in train when Cash was a puppy! Even when our training has had gaps (our schedule was crazy) he still was available via text/email/phone for guidance.
We are really excited to start our next level of training to focus on off leash recall in the coming months! I would highly recommend David. He is a natural dog whisperer who believes that creating respectful and playful relationships with your dogs lead to better results!

David and Native K9 have been a fundamental part of my overly anxious and energetic GSD Nelli's training. From the very start, the training was effective and was directly tailored to the specific issues we were having with her. In a very reasonable amount of time, the training turned her into a fantastic, attentive companion in just about every scenario.
Not only did it help Nelli directly, but David has an excellent way of educating the owner and empowering them to effectively continue training at home. The training has made me more confident and capable as a dog owner, and gave me the tools to deal with whatever is thrown our way.
I can't say enough about David and Native K9! We met David through a friend and started working with Native K9 when our puppy was about 9 months old. David listened to what we wanted to achieve with our dog and reassured that he would be able to work with us and accomplish our goals. He worked with us in person weekly to meet our specific goals and was always available by email or text for questions. He not only is an incredible person to work with, but I swear he is a dog whisperer and can truly work with any dog he encounters. Our dog, Stash, is the best dog and while he's only a little over a year now, we receive compliments on how well behaved he is everywhere we go. I highly highly recommend David and Native K9. David did a great job training my Australian Shepherd, Oatmeal. We started with basic obedience and leash handling, and then moved into K9’s board and train program. Oatmeal picked up advanced obedience and offleash training really well. David was super responsive with check-ins and even answered questions after the training was done. K9 was also great about taking Oatmeal in during a few weekend trips. Choosing K9 was easily one of the best decisions I made for Oatmeal.
Our experience working with David at NTVK9 has been wonderful. We have become more confident in our ability to communicate with our Belgian Mallinois/Husky mix puppy, and in turn have used these skills in upping our 7 year old Husky/Shepherd’s manners to the next level.
From not being able to walk down the street with both dogs without a tangled mess or leashes and sore shoulders to fully trusting both dog’s recall and enjoying off-leash beach days, we are so grateful for the knowledge and support David provided us. Any questions that come up are thoughtfully addressed and David continues to help us reach our goals and beyond.

David is our dog coach and trainer. It has been a very long time since we have enjoyed such an exceptional human being. A dozen weeks of training and 10-15 hours of coaching has both helped us to love and enjoy our dog more, train him to listen, respond and obey in all circumstances.
David is a dog talker, an excellent instructor of dog behavior and a pretty good study of human behavior as well. David was “my gift” from my wife to resolve our dog Louie’s barking at other dogs and people, especially on walks. As much as we love Louie, these walks had taken a lot of the joy out of our time with him. The first visit David came over he sat down and talked with us for a long time. While visiting, he was always observing Louie. David never stops talking dog with us. He is a natural communicator, easy to listen to, very likeable, and delivers no shame, only loads of encouragement. At the end of the day, he is a healer of dysfunction with spot on insights into dogs and their owners, that translates into the enjoyment we all desire with our dogs.
Personally, we see our dog Louie as our family, love him and are protective of him. We trust David impeccably. He is generous with his time, and respectful of yours. He has a great sense of playfulness and humor while never losing sight of the task at hand.
We can’t even express what a gift and delight it has been to have David as our coach, teacher and dog whisperer and to finally be able to enjoy Louie out on walks. David is a godsend. Just trust the process to the end and you will not regret it for a second. He is one of a kind.
